The Marines Toys for Tots program relies on donations each year for kids in need. This year the kids at Forest Park Elementary donated nearly 500 toys to this year's Stuff the Bus toy drive.
Marine Staff Sergeant Ted Kleniewski joined hundreds of kids in the school's gym where all the toys were collected. They've been put on display and will soon be sent to less fortunate kids for the Holidays. He tells News 10:
It’s invigorating and it gives you a lot of hope. I guess you could say, to see kids be so passionate about something about giving back. Normally you would think kids want to keep their toys South Colonie schools and their kids. They know all about giving back.
Donations will continue to be collected at the school through December 6th. This is the 17th year the school and Marines have teamed up to help Toys for Tots.
