Today's Outstanding Woman is,
Robin Fontanelli Ford of Latham
Robin Fontanelli, the driving force behind Sidewalk Warriors – Troy, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, leads a dedicated volunteer team addressing food insecurity, homelessness, and mental illness in the Troy area. Every Thursday, Robin and her team serve 200 individuals with meals, cleaning essentials, and more. Established in April 2021, Sidewalk Warriors – Troy, with over 50 local partnerships, has made a significant impact, contributing 24,000 volunteer hours in 2023. Beyond meals, the organization distributed winter gear, Christmas gifts, bicycles, back-to-school supplies, fans, and pillows. Robin's leadership fosters a family atmosphere, with 80+ volunteers providing compassionate support. Her selfless dedication earned her a 2023 Capital Region Philanthropist of the Year nomination, and makes her perfect for the 20 Outstanding Women Award.
