The jackpot is close to $1 Billion!
It's a pretty fair statement that if you were to win the Mega Millions jackpot this week, it would be life changing! The jackpot is close to $1 billion at this point. Not a bad take home if you're the lucky person that matches the numbers that will be drawn Friday night.
Believe it or not, it's been almost 3 months since someone has hit the jackpot which has led this Friday's prize to reach an estimated $977 million. The unfortunate part of the prize being so large is that it also lessens your odds of winning the 10th largest jackpot of all time. It's just about half the size of the largest jackpot that was won back in November of 2022 which was $2.04 billion.
If you were to be the sole winner of the Friday night jackpot you would get your hands on close to $461 million should you choose the cash payout, which most winners to choose to do.
If you're wondering what the odds are of you winning? For a single winner the odds are 1 in 302.6 million. While those are crazy odds and the chance of you winning is very very very slim, you can't win if you don't get yourself a ticket.
