ArenaBowl 33 is this Friday in New Jersey!
They were forged in fire and now they're headed to ArenaBowl 33! After this Saturday's win against the Selina Liberty, the Albany Firebirds punched their ticket to play for the AFL Championship against the Billings Outlaws in East Rutherford, NJ. The game will be played at American Dream which is part of the Meadowlands Sports Complex. Kick-off is set for 5:30pm!
The Firebirds make their return to the championship game despite all of the issues the league saw during the season and with the Antonio Brown "Albany Empire" fiasco looking over their heads.
This past Saturday at The MVP Arena, the Firebirds showed everyone what they were made of! After a crazy first half that saw a bunch of scoring, including a combined 58 points in the 2nd quarter, the Birds went into the half up 44-42. Albany was able to make some halftime adjustments and managed to hold The Liberty to just 5 points in the 3rd quarter. Albany was able to score 21 offensive points in the 4th quarter, and their defense was able to score 2 times on interceptions by Markus Smith. When the final buzzer went off Albany had put up 80 points on Salina and won the game 80-59.
WE DID IT!!! 🔥🦅

Coach Ware said winning is apart of the #Firebirds culture, and that culture has resulted in a trip to Arena Bowl 33 next week.
