Building a better place for all a new homeless shelter for women is coming to Troy

A new luxury women's homeless shelter, Live Limitless Refuge Center, is set to open in Troy, offering single women a safe space with shared amenities like bathrooms, meals, and laundry. Founder Demetria Canty shared that women can stay for 30 days to six months, receiving support in financial literacy, employment, wellness, and mental health, as well as assistance in finding housing. A donation drive on January 18 at the Troy Boy's and Girl's Club will collect personal and household items for the shelter, including clothing, kitchen products, and hygiene items. The shelter aims to provide makeovers to boost women's self-esteem, with a motto of "If you look good, you feel good, if you feel good, you want better!"
